Project Description
2025
Solo exhibition at the gallery in the Haus zum Bunten Löwen of the Thuringian Association of Visual Artists (VBKTh e.V.)
with light objects, sculpture, and graphic art
My work and research focus on the narrative interfaces between architectural space and the viewer. The abstract graphics and light objects sharpen our perception and challenge our understanding of space at the same time.
Colour and light are integral to my research and practice. „ORANGEPASTELL & NEONZART“ explores the spectrum of light and colour in their contradictory effects. Vibrant colours convey a sense of dynamism and energy, while pastel colours are soft, delicate, and subtle – both aspects are already combined in the wording of the exhibition title. Graphic elements, lines, and surfaces create new perspectives and achieve optical illusions. Through the translucent materiality of light and colour, familiar spatial perceptions and viewpoints are disrupted, and visitors are encouraged to reflect on their own reality.
In addition to the graphic works, this exhibition also features various light sculptures that use light and colour to create a poetic atmosphere, leaving room for emotion and imagination.
Gallery in the Haus zum Bunten Löwen, VBKTh e.V., Erfurt (DE), March 3–29, 2025.
The exhibition can also be viewed as a 360-degree virtual tour on the VBKTh’s website.
