Interactive Web/Public Space Installation
The mixed reality playground* a spouting proposal for Utrecht is a competition entry for [out of the box; net art and the real world.
For the time of the impakt festival we propose a tingling summer city intervention: a new kind of interactive fountain. It’s navigated ‘out of the box’, but happens on a pedestrian square in Utrecht.
A virtual platform on the internet provides the internet user with the navigation of water fountains spouting from a real platform in the city. Thereby the virtual visitor of the impakt festival can participate physically, giving the real visitor a real sensual delight on site.
The question of surveillance is playfully contextualized in an interactive computer game that mixes (up) realities.
