Project Description

Reed, tissue paper
In May I did an artist residency at the Yew Cheung International School in Hong Kong. Together with the kindergarten children we made three little huts, igloos or hide-aways, a space for them of coziness, discovery and experience.

The children loved the experience to get their hands into the glue and built the spaces with all their favourite colours. The hut’s general shape is made from reed and layers of tissue paper. Its transparency allows light to shine through and turn into a kaleidoscopic hollow. The light effect and the snug little spaces offer adventures and wonders, hopefully bringing joy to each of the kindergarten campuses.
